About Adam

Experienced, versatile Bass Guitar teacher, Adam is a professional bassist, who focuses on creating a fun learning environment and helping you achieve your goals as a musician. He is currently providing services for both in person as well as online teaching.

After stints with the NYJO Academy band and the Royal Academy of Music Junior Jazz (JRAM) course in London Adam won a scholarship to study for a BMus in Jazz at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and graduated with a first class honours degree.

Adam can teach a wide variety of genres from the graded Rock & Pop examinations to Jazz and Funk repertoire. Adam specialises in jazz and improvisation and can teach learning jazz standards, theory and advanced techniques.

Adam and Ollie Canham (guitar) won the Phil Miller Guitar Prize with a duo performance in 2022.

Adam has performed at a number of venues and festivals in the UK and Europe including the Royal Festival Hall, Karamel Club, The Jazz Centre UK (London), the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Eastside Jazz Club, The Night Owl, Hockley Social Club (Birmingham), and venues in Prague, Budapest, Ljubljana, and Montreux. He is currently working on an album of his own compositions, due to be released in 2024. More details to follow.
