About Adam

I find a tailored approach works best for each of my students and try to encourage them
to find their own unique voice within the genre that interests them.

I grew up in East London and started learning instruments aged 7. Having graduated
BRIT school in 2018 I went on to study music performance and production at LCCM in
Southwark to which I left with a 1st class honours degree.

Since graduating I have been teaching and gigging in the industry, picking up valuable
experience and insight into what it means to be a young musician in the current
landscape.

I currently lead a 6-piece jazz band called Hoos Collective who gig regularly in London. I compose the majority of the bands repertoire and have a particular enthusiasm for improvisation. I specialise in jazz but have experience in pop, funk, soul and latin. I am a big advocate of learning by ear however I also teach sight reading and theory.

Course Content:

- Improvisation
- Composition
- Ear Training
- Basic Theory
- Jazz Theory
- Rhythmic and Groove Playing
- Learning Repertoire
- ABRSM Exam Preparation
- Reading Chords and Notes
