About Claudia M.
Claudia is a classical pianist, flautist, violinist, singer, teacher and performer. Her passion for music started at the age of 4 when she enrolled on the Yamaha Programme and went on to complete the JMC, JXC and JAC courses. As well as her piano qualifications, she also studied classical flute, violin, voice and recorder, gaining several awards at various musical festivals: Worthing and Chichester music festivals. Claudia went on to complete a BA, then her Masters in Music at Chichester University, while also gaining useful teaching experience through the West Sussex Music Service.
She is currently working at the Matrix Music school in Sutton Courtenay teaching the Junior Music Course group lessons and also 1-1 individual piano/theory lessons to students (preparing students for ABRSM exams/music concerts, teaching different styles of music repertoires). She is very passionate about her teaching and believes that music education is very important in the early development of young children. She plays for the Abingdon Community Orchestra, at church services - St. Nicolas Abingdon and sings in the choir, plays organ at St. Edmunds Church, Abingdon, other events, music concert recitals, Yamaha Music Concerts.
Claudia is a member of the ISM and holds the ATCL Piano Teachers Diploma, Trinity College London.
